The fight for sexual purity is real. Whether you are consciously aware of it or not, our culture constantly conveys the message “Do what feels good and take what you want.” As Christians, we know that temptations come when we are lured and enticed by our own desires (James 1:14). This is a battle that requires diligence and not something to be taken lightly.
At College Park Church, we want to help you in the battle for sexual integrity. We consider it a privilege to walk alongside you in your fight for purity. The primary way the Soul Care Ministry cares for people is through group counseling. We believe that change happens in the context of community, and this applies to those struggling with unwanted sexual behaviors.
For those presently involved in sexual sin
Sexual Integrity 101 is a short-term men’s group that lays the foundation for understanding the origin of unwanted sexual behaviors, introduces how pornography affects the brain, and provides practical tools to begin overcoming these sinful behaviors with biblical truth. Men will hear stories of how others have found freedom and walk alongside others on a similar journey. There is a new life available on the other side of unwanted sexual behavior, and this is the first step towards that new life of sexual integrity.
If you are a woman looking for help in this area, you can request care on our Soul Care page and start the process towards sexual integrity and accountability.
For those fighting sexual sin and feeling alone
The journey towards sexual purity cannot be done alone. After participating in Sexual Integrity 101, men are invited to join a ten-month 7 Pillars group. In this small group, men strive to better understand their whole story and the places where they used sex to medicate their pain. Through the guided lessons and trusted community, men develop the tools necessary to break free from sexual sin. Vigilance in the fight is vital. By being involved in this group, men experience community and accountability as they encounter triggers and fight for freedom.
For spouses wounded by sexual sin
Being on the receiving end of sexual sin can be devastating. Anger. Hurt. Shame. Betrayal. These are just some of the emotions that can come with the discovery of a spouse’s hidden sexual sin. The betrayed spouse is left wondering how they could possibly pick up the pieces of shattered trust.
Betrayal & Beyond comes alongside women who have been wounded by their husband’s sexual sin. In these ten-month groups, wives will learn healing comes from understanding the role of trauma, establishing healthy boundaries, exploring the depth of forgiveness offered in Christ, and learning to live in restoration with their husbands by embracing their Christ-given identity.
If you are a husband who has been wounded by the sexual sin of your wife, you can request care on our Soul Care page and start the process of healing.
