RE·COVER | College Park Church

Overview

RE·COVER is a partnership between The NewDay Center and College Park Church which seeks to come alongside individuals and families impacted by drug or alcohol addiction. Our approach to overcoming addictions is captured by the following commitments:

Christ-centered - We believe that the crucified and risen Jesus is powerful to transform people, including people trapped in addiction. Our approach is centered on Christ, based on the Bible, and rooted in the life of the local church.

Clinically-informed - We believe that treating addiction is a unique challenge. Because it impacts people physically and spiritually, our approach draws on evidence-based research to provide a holistic approach to care.

Church-based - We believe that the local church is a crucial part of the battle against addiction. We equip churches to respond with wisdom and practical help to those struggling with addictions.

The 4 Components of RE·COVER

RE·COVER Intensive

These eight-week counseling groups are led by trained biblical counselors. Using curriculum developed by NewDay, they seek to help those experiencing an ongoing struggle with drug or alcohol addiction.

RE·COVER Groups

RE·COVER Groups are weekly small group gatherings designed to provide relational connection and encouragement for anyone who needs help in freedom from substance addiction.

Aftercare Mentorship

This program provides one-on-one encouragement and support to those who have completed a RE·COVER Intensive. Aftercare mentors walk alongside RE·COVER participants as they seek to build renewed thinking and habits that lead to long-term flourishing.

Family Coaching

Family Coaching helps families develop practical plans for how to wisely love an addicted family member. Coaches provide guidance and resources to navigate complex decisions.
