When we pray together. . .

God hears. He hears our collective cries, our joyful shouts, and our wordless groans. Not only does he hear, but he acts.

That's why we are taking the month of June to gather as a church and pray together. We know that our God hears us (1 John 5:15), we know that he is good (1 Chron. 16:34), and we know that we need him.

Weather permitting, we will hold four prayer gatherings during June. These gatherings are open to the public and there is no registration required. For the health and well-being of others, we ask that all attendees follow CDC and ISDH guidelines, including wearing a face mask and practicing safe social distancing.

Schedule of Events

Week 1: Praying Together for Racial Harmony

We are gathering at the historic Landmark for Peace Memorial on the north side of Indianapolis to lament and pray together for racial harmony. This event is open to the public; all are welcome to attend.

Week 2: Praying Together for Bridges of Grace

This prayer gathering will take place at Brookside Park, a central location in the Brookside community where College Park has many ministry partners.

During our time, we will pray for the impact and advancement of these ministries and seek wisdom on how we may connect—or "build bridges of grace"—with those in our lives.

This is a public event; all are welcome to attend!

Week 3: Praying Together Through Corporate Worship

Due to expected weather, the June 21 Praying Together event has been canceled.

Week 4: Praying Together - Neighboring

After much prayer and consideration, due to weather concerns, we have decided to cancel today's prayer event at the Ministry Center but invite you to pray from your location at 4 p.m.

Please join us in praying for the following 3 things:

  • The Good Soil Community Garden and our food box distribution
  • The preparations ahead of our August regathering
  • Our College Park ministries and partners as they continue to do outreach
