Family Advocacy Ministry
The Adoption Ministry is now the Family Advocacy Ministry (FAM)! Why this change in name? We believe that adoption is a beautiful picture of the gospel. All of us were once spiritual orphans without a family, but through Christ, we are his chosen sons and daughters of the King. We also believe there are many ways to support adoption that extend beyond adoption itself.
FAM desires to promote a culture of adoption in our church. In order to fulfill our mission, we have developed a partnership with Lifesong for Orphans, which creates a tax-deductible platform for our congregations to financially give and for families to receive financial assistance. We also desire to provide spiritual and emotional care for families who are considering adoption, in the process of adoption, and have completed adoption.
How Do I Request Adoption Assistance?
In order to become an approved College Park adoptive family, we first ask each family to join College Park in church membership. After becoming a member, each family needs to complete the Adoption Ministry Inquiry Form. Once each family has completed the form, the College Park Adoption Ministry Team will set up an interview with you to learn more about your calling to adopt and provide details about next steps to becoming an approved College Park adoptive family.
