Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need volunteers?

Yes, we do! It takes an army of volunteers to pull off the Christmas concert each year. Sign up to volunteer, and we’ll get back to you with more details!

When should I arrive?

We anticipate all of the concerts being full. We encourage guests to arrive well before the event so you have plenty of time to park, wait in line, and find a seat. Child care (ages 4 months-4 years) will open 30 minutes before each concert. Once the Sanctuary is full, overflow seating will be available in the Chapel.

Do I need tickets?

The Christmas Concert is free and no tickets are required. However, due to the popularity of this event, we recommend you arrive well in advance of the concert start time (see question #1). Once the Sanctuary is full, overflow seating will be available in the Chapel.

I have kids. Can I bring them to the concert?

The Christmas Concert is a family friendly event, and we encourage you to bring your whole family! We also know that attending can be difficult with very young children. We provide free, limited child care (ages 4 months-4 years) for guests. Child care will open 30 minutes prior to the start of each concert and may fill quickly.

What is the after-party?

What’s a Christmas concert without holiday festivities? Following the concert, you and your family are invited to enjoy the toboggan run, photo booth, and live music. There will also be plenty of delicious holiday treats to enjoy!

Can I attend more than once?

We are so glad you are interested in experiencing the Christmas Concert multiple times! We would love to see our guests return to the concert—and bring friends! To help make room for guests, we ask that College Park families please attend only one concert. If College Park families and attendees would like to attend the concert a second time, please sit in overflow seating in the Chapel.

If I want to avoid the biggest crowds, what concert should I attend?

Historically, the concerts on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m. have lower attendance than the other concert times.

Which concerts typically go into overflow?

The concerts on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. typically go into overflow. The concert on Friday at 7 p.m. is also typically full.
