Missions

Missions is the cross-cultural communication of the Gospel with the goal of making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). To fulfill this goal, it is our vision to see the church established within each people group of the world and equipped so that it can effectively reach the rest of its people group with the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.

You may participate in the Missions Ministry in a variety of ways:

Become a Missionary – These are people who physically go into another culture to share Christ and establish the church. If you are interested, pick up our “So You’re Thinking About Becoming a Missionary” brochure. Then set up a meeting with our Outreach Department to talk about your interest.

Support a Missionary – These are people who support the missionaries from home – by prayer, encouragement, giving, visits, etc. Volunteers are needed to host missionaries when they are in town – contact Nate Irwin if you would be willing to be called for this need. Also, we have a program for “adopting” a missionary. Either your family or your Sunday School Class may want to adopt a missionary. Please contact Nate for other opportunities.

Perspectives – Perspectives is a radical 13-week discipleship course designed to help you discover God's purpose for the world and how you can be a part of it. This college-level course can be taken for credit this fall here at College Park Church starting in September.  Contact Steve Sanders at the church for more details.

Reach out to local Internationals – Many opportunities are available to reach out to those who live here who are from a foreign country—whether a student in a college or in ethnic settlements around Indianapolis .

Go on a Short-term Vision Trip – Throughout the year the church sponsors many different mission trips for individuals and families. Locations are usually where we have missionaries or partnerships with other ministries so that we can be of service to them in helping with programs for children, building projects, teaching classes, etc.
