Ministry Opportunities
The ministry focuses on Veterans in a 1x1 battle buddy relationship. We do have special training to prepare and set expectations. The training is a 30 hour seminary level course titled, “Care and Counsel for Combat Stress.”
Care & Counsel for Combat Stress Training

- Tuesday, 3rd and 17th at 6 p.m.

Family Support:
This ministry provides a support network for families of deployed troops. Our volunteers are there to listen and just actively be present.
- Volunteer Needs:
- CPC tradesmen for specific needs (painting, home repair, appliance repair, car repair, etc)
- Participate in activities with the families
- Attend the care and counsel for combat stress training
HVAF of
This ministry provides monthly dinners to clients of HVAF who were formally homeless veterans at the Warman house. We invite these veterans to church and get them plugged into CPC ministries. This will help anchor these veterans as they transition from homelessness to productive citizens. We also provide fundraising efforts, food for the emergency pantry, clothing, and housing needs.
- Volunteer Needs
- CPC Small Group and Adult Sunday School sponsors for monthly dinners from January through June 2012.
- CPC Veterans to come to dinner and interact with the HVAF clients (fellow vets).
- Drivers willing to help bring the men to church.
Veteran’s Day Celebration:
This ministry event happens on or near Veteran’s day. We worship the Lord, honor those who served, and invite veterans to Christ. We reach out into the local community to invite veterans.

Citizen’s Memorial Day Walk:
This ministry event occurs on Memorial day. CPC Veterans guide kids through the various War Memorials in downtown
