Welcome to the College Park Church website.

We want it to communicate and show you in the clearest ways where God is taking our community.

College Park exists, as you can see in our mission statement above, to glorify God by making disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.  You might get a taste of how we are doing that by reading the following statements below.  They are born from 22 years of preaching, and have become what we call

'historical & cultural principles' of College Park Church:

  • The Main Thing is to keep the Main One (Jesus) the main thing
  • The Church is the "pillar and foundation of the truth."
  • We are committed to unity in the midst of diversity.
  • We treat others in a way that reflects how God has treated us.
  • If we are uncertain when we make a decision, we will make it on the side of love without enabling sin.
  • Our plans and programs are written in pencil, only God’s Word is written in ink.
  • We have an atmosphere of theological freedom to explore theological perspectives within the arena of sound doctrine, so long as we remain humble and non-divisive in the pursuit.
  • Systematic theology is valuable but we will not allow it to keep us from believing Scripture.
  • The church needs to be continually reformed.
  • We are blessed to be a blessing to the nations.

Finally, it is always good to remember the good things God has done in our lives and in our church. The College Park Church website should put at your desktop a roadmap of what God has done with us, what He is doing now, and where we think God is going to take us. It is a very exciting time to be on the corner of 96th & Towne Road.
