College Park Church

The grOve gets together on most Sunday nights for IGNITE, 6:00-7:30pm at the CPC Ministry Center. IGNITE is a student worship service that includes music, videos, prayer, discussion and Bible teaching. Music is led by one of the grOve’s student worship bands, and teaching is normally done by our high school pastor, Don Helton. Usually, we study Bible passages in a verse-by-verse method, and sometimes we do short topical studies on things like relationships, stress, dating or apologetics. While IGNITE dismisses at 7:30ish, most teens hang out for 30-60 minutes aftwerward to eat $1-a-slice pizza, enjoy free drinks and hang out with friends. Parents are always welcome to join our meetings.

Apr 1 - The Minor Prophets: Zephaniah
Apr 8 - Resurrection Sunday: 3 morning services for CPC but no youth group
April 15 - Fresh Encounter: The grOve joins the rest of CPC for a church-wide, worship-based prayer gathering. This FE is special as we will be praying for the graduates from the Class of 2012. After Fresh Encounter, the grOve is going to YoJoy, a Christian-owned company that is giving us a 20% discount on all their toppings and flavors for tonight. YoJoy is on Michigan, north of 96th and just north of Burger King. It is in the strip mall in front of Home Depot.
April 22 - The Minor Prophets: Haggai
April 29 - Grad Night: The grOve honors the Class of 2012. Parents and families are invited to attend this special night at the Ministry Center.

May 6 - The Minor Prophets: Zechariah
May 13 - Mothers' Day: no youth group
May 20 - Fresh Encounter: worship-based prayer event (6pm main campus) followed by reception for Brian & Kammy Woodward on the Commons (youth group stays at main campus)

June 3 - Promotion Sunday: The grOve welcomes the upcoming 9th graders.

WHEN & WHERE  :: MINISTRY CENTER  ::  6:00-7:30pm

We meet at the Ministry Center of College Park Church, one mile west of the main campus. While we wrap up at 7:30pm, most students stay around for 30-60 minutes afterward so they can hang out. There is not an organzied class for high schoolers on Sunday mornings as a way to encourage our teens to be involved in the congregational worship service and to allow time for them to volunteer in ministries of the church.
