Typical Meeting Agenda
Our typical meeting time together may include the following segments and possible agenda items. How various items will be handled and flow together and the time spent will vary depending on the leading of the Holy Spirit and the needs of the group.
A. Reconnecting
- Reconnecting with each other.
- Welcome, Introductions and opening prayer.
- Fresh Encounter segment with worship based prayer.
B. Studying and applying God’s Word
- Read Scripture passage(s).
- Discuss original intent of the author.
- Discuss and reflect on how this can apply to our lives.
- Identify what each would like to apply in the coming week.
- Respond to the work of the Spirit as individuals express needs.
C. Caring for one another and prayer
- Update each other on spiritual, relational or physical concerns.
- Share praise and prayer requests.
- Spend time in prayer.
- Divide into accountability groups.
- Review Accountability Questions.
- Confess and repent based on God’s Word.
- Encourage one another in a time of prayer.
- Caring for the needs of those within, and outside, the group.
- Individual and/or Group Outreach Ministries.
- Engaging the community.
D. Encouraging outreach
- Update each other on our walk with the Lord and the sharing of our faith.
- Encourage and pray for one another in sharing our faith.
