College Park Church

Our small group gives us the opportunity to build community with the body of Christ through authentic relationships and fellowship with one another.  Genuine Biblical fellowship is possible, with God’s help, through our individual and mutual commitment.  To assist in building community and guide us in our mutual commitment to one another within our small group; we agree to abide by the following covenant:

 Our Mission as a small group is to encourage one another in our daily walk with the Lord by…

1. Centering our lives on Jesus.
2. Pursuing life change, empowered by the Holy Spirit, as we apply God’s Word.
3. Building intentional, participative, relationships.
4. Caring for one another in Christian love.
5. Engaging our culture with the truths of the gospel.
6. Developing our giftedness and deepening our influence with those around us. 

To accomplish our mission, our meeting time will include… 

1. Reconnecting with one another.
2. Studying and applying God’s Word.
3. Caring for one another and prayer.
4. Encouraging outreach.

 Our Overall Goal is to ignite a passion to follow Jesus, grow in our relationship with Him and other believers, and increase our influence with those outside the Church.

As we meet together to accomplish our mission and goals, we will seek the presence of the Lord Jesus, the leading of the Holy Spirit, and work together in accordance with the following guidelines.

 As a member of the group I agree to the following as my role as a participant:

1. I will make our small group relationships a priority.  If I am unable to attend or am running late to a meeting, I will call ahead.
2. I will help our group achieve its mission and goals as outlined in this covenant.
3. I will come to our meetings prepared and ready to actively participate.
4. I will help create a safe place for each member to share without judgment.
5. I will be accountable to the group concerning my personal and spiritual goals.
6. I will fulfill my responsibility to be faithful and teachable in our group, and to love, pray for and encourage one another in our walk with the Lord.
7. I will take ownership for the health and growth of our group, and will use my giftedness to serve our group, our church family and those the Holy Spirit brings into our lives.

 In full acceptance of the provisions of this covenant, I affix my name to this document in recognition of my commitment to God and the members of this group.  I shall keep a copy of this document as a reminder of this voluntary covenant I’ve entered into on this date.
