Women's Ministries The goal of College Park’s Hearts for Him is to provide ministries and Bible studies that will emphasize three key things:
We are committed to equipping women to use their gifts in a way which will in turn equip other women to serve Christ. We are also committed to encouraging women to reach out to the lost people in their community of influence. Women’s Bible Studies – Registration for the Fall Women’s Bible Studies has begun. Please come to the table in the foyer on Sunday morning to register. Click Here to download a PDF of theFall 2008 Women's Bible Studies catalog MOPS at College Park Discover...What MOPS is. MOPS is about…
MOPS is dedicated to the message that “better mothers make a better world” and that moms of young children, ages birth through kindergarten, need encouragement during these critical early years. Moms take care of their children. Who takes care of moms? MOPS provides mothers a safe place to relate, relax and recharge with other moms.
The MOPS International theme for the 2008-2009 year is Adventures in Mothering. Motherhood, like an amusement park, can feel like sensory overload—the sights, sounds, tastes, and smells of our lives are a fun and fast ride. But they can turn us upside down. Some days we enjoy the ride but other days we want to jump off. In MOPS, moms can share the ride together as they celebrate and embrace both the fun and serious experiences of motherhood.
MOPPETS is the quality children’s program where little ones are loved, encouraged and nurtured through carefully planned activities while the moms are meeting together. The children are provided opportunities to grow socially, spiritually, and creatively.

Become…A Part of MOPS Enrollment Information
The purpose of this discipleship ministry is to equip faithful, available and teachable women to fulfill Jesus’ Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) by using transferable materials to share the biblical foundations of faith in a one-on-one relationship with another woman. These women, in turn, use the materials with other women, one-on-one, in order to help produce spiritual generations that multiply (2 Timothy 2:2).
Periodic orientation and training sessions will be scheduled to equip groups of new disciplers. For more information, please contact Ellie Timberman at 848-1972. If you have questions about the Titus 2 Mentoring Ministry or resources to be used for study, please contact Mary Beth Oblinger at 875-0282. Mentoring is the work of the entire Body of Christ. It is a mutual relationship with an intentional agenda. It is designed to convey specific doctrinal truth coupled with a life of wisdom and godliness which is communicated from one life to another. Here at College Park, we would like to see mentoring and discipleship become a part of our culture something that flows naturally out of a woman’s desire to grow through helping others grow in the Lord. Because mentoring is so relational, the best mentoring relationships seem to be those where the women have an affinity toward one another. Webster defines “affinity” as “a natural liking or attraction; connection.” How to find a mentor at College Park:
How to be a mentor at College Park:
Some things to consider as you get started in a mentoring relationship: For the disciple: 1) Early on, discuss mutual expectations with your mentor. The frequency of your times together, the duration of meeting together (if there is an expectation), the development of your friendship, and approaches to growth (i.e. what you will study together). 2) Identify where your mentor shines. Focus on gleaning from that strength. 3) Consider keeping a journal to remember the things that God is teaching you through your mentoring relationship. 4) Respect time limitations of your mentor. Develop the discipline of taking things to Jesus first. 5) Intercede for your mentor. 6) Begin investing in others. This is the whole idea of multiplication that Jesus has in mind for advancing His kingdom.
For the mentor: 1) Discuss mutual expectations with your disciple. Make sure that you have an understanding of how often you will meet and what you will study together. 2) Look for ways to teach and encourage growth in your disciple in the areas of doctrine, character, and service in ministry (this could be within the local church or within her own family at home). Be sensitive to what God is already doing in your disciple’s life and how you can participate to promote conformity to Christ in her life. 3) Spend time with your disciple and model for her the things that you are teaching her. Create contexts for learning in addition to Bible study and prayer time (i.e. cooking, gardening, attending a conference together, etc.) Pray for your disciple for her walk with the Lord, for wisdom in her daily life and for a deeper love for Christ. If you have questions about the Titus 2 Mentoring Ministry or resources to be used for study, please contact Mary Beth Oblinger at 875-0282.
