Parenting Ministries

This ministry is committed to encouraging and instructing parents in establishing a biblical worldview for their families and shepherding their children's heart toward a realtionship with Jesus Christ. Classes and seminars are offered periodically, as well as Bible Studies with other couples focusing on biblical parenting. Watch the church bulletin for announcements on upcoming training courses and seminars.

Currently, the following classes are being offered:

Let the Children Come Along the Virtuous Way - This series is a practical approach to teaching parents how to train their children biblically. It is done in a small group format with videos, discussion and homework. This class meets quarterly (starts over four times a year).

Age of Opportunity - This 10-week class is geared toward parents of children/teens from 12-18 years old. Using Paul Tripp's book, "Age of Opportunity", the goal is to help parents take a refreshing look at the opporunity of raising their teenagers through Tripp's video lessons followed by class discussion.

Shepherding a Child's Heart - This class is for new parents and parents raising children 0-12 years old. The book, "Sheperding a Child's Heart", will be used along with videos and discussion. Learning to shepherd your child using biblical principles is handled by Tedd Tripp in this series.

In Pursuit of Purity: Discipling Sons & Daughters Toward Pure Relationships - This is a 12 week class designed for parents whose children will soon enter or are in the middle of opposite sex relationsips. Topics include God's plan for pure relationships, preparing sons/daughters for pure relationships, cultural influences, living in community and establishing accountability.
