College Park's Compassion Ministries exist to respond with the love of God quickly, continue this love for the short term and follow-up consistently for as long as it takes, while maintaining biblical truth.
What Does Compassion Ministries Do?
- Adult Disabilities Ministry: The Adult Disabilities Ministry exists to provide love, assistance and transportation for our friends with disabilities. The ministry is a "church within the church". There is a bus and van to provide transportation for Sunday morning service. Contact for more information. The SonRise Bible Study will be starting October 4 and meeting every Tuesday evening thereafter from 7:00-8:15p.m. Contact Tammi Gant at for more information.
- Funeral Ministry: We are here to come alongside you in either preplanning or planning funerals.
- Hospice/Shut-In Ministry: Are you or a loved one a shut-in or in hospice? We want to minister to you on a regular basis.
- Long-term Health Care Ministry: Are you or do you know someone who has a long-term illness, including those who are fighting cancer? We want to keep in touch and minister to those needs.
- New Baby/Adoption Ministry: Congratulations! Exciting times sometimes bring additional needs. We would like to serve you with a new baby basket, meals and other needs that your family may have. We would love to hear from you.
- Short-term Meal Ministry: Are you going to be hospitalized due to illness, surgery or a new baby? Or perhaps you are someone who can supply a meal to our church members who have those needs?
- Widows Ministry: We want to support and care for our dear widows, learn more
- Special Needs Ministry for Children: For more information, please click here. Mothers of Miracles "MOMs" invites you to a workshop "Planning for Your Dependent with Special Needs Making Their Future More Secure". This workshop includes wills, trusts, special needs trusts, guardianship, financial issues, Medicaid, and SSI. Presented by Gordon Homes, Metlife Center for Special Neds Planning. This workshop is on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the East Room at College Park Church.

Compassion Ministries' "See This Thing" Christmas Devotional Video
The joy of the season overwhelms us to the point where we may miss the way others see this thing which has come to pass. There were the shepherds, the angels, Mary and Joseph, Herod, the Magi and countless others! The same perspectives exist today and we want you to experience them by video.
Each of these people have been hand-picked to represent a particular perspective of Christmas from their own experience. As you watch, please pray for these people and those they represent.
