Director of Community Life
College Park Church fulfills its mission of “igniting a passion to follow Jesus” through a three-fold discipleship strategy: Exalting Christ, Experiencing Community, and Embracing a Calling.
The Director of Community Life provides leadership and manages our second key discipleship strategy – Experiencing Community – through the use of small groups as an incubator for life change, gift assessment, assimilation, and ministry deployment. This person will be a champion for making a large church small and creating effective assimilation strategies for new people at College Park. Additional responsibilities are as follows (in order of importance): Assimilation, Worship Venues, Prayer Ministries, and Men’s Ministries.
As a Senior Staff level position, he participates in the directional leadership of CPC’s big picture (i.e., vision, strategy, program development, and evaluation), represents his ministry area on the Elder Board, is responsible for the staff and ministries in his area, and provides direct staff oversight (i.e., vision alignment, hire/fire recommendations, etc).
